MAINTENANCE
EVERY 6 MONTHS: Flush Cobras with 5 gallons of
water only, using your tire and wheel hydro-minder. Be sure your hydro-minder tank in
cleaned out. Keep lid on to keep out debris. Replace foot valve.
1. Remove hydro-minder tank and clean out.
2. Remove foot valve and replace with new one.
3. Fill hydro-minder with water and run at least 5-10 gallons water
through the Cobra System for peak performance.
4. Make sure you have a well designed lid for the hydro-minder tank.
SUMMER: Thermostat set @ 110 degrees
WINTER: Thermostat set @ 130 degrees
5. Turn circulating pump off at end of day.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
PROBLEM: Uneven
Vee-Jet spray pattern
SOLUTION: Remove nozzle from red button
check valve. Disassemble nozzle. Use blow gun only to clean. Using metal objects to clean
could disturb spray pattern.
PROBLEM: Cobra not spraying when assigned to
SOLUTIONS:
A. Using treadle activation. Check treadle hose for leak. Check all air connections.
B. Check normally open air switch contact. May need adjusted or replaced.
C. Check for leak in bell hose if used.
D. Check fuse on relay in controller.
E. Check air supply to air diaphragm pumps. (maximum 100 psi)
F. Need stronger air pulse to air switch.
PROBLEM: Cobra sprays entire length of vehicle.
SOLUTIONS:
A. Using treadle activation, check the off Treadle hose for air leaks. Connections etc.
B. Check normally closed air switch. May need adjusted or replaced.
C. Need stronger air pulse to air switch
PROBLEM: Weak chemical spray on tire and wheel.
Internal manifold system blocked due to type of chemical being used.
SOLUTIONS:
A. Remove nozzles from 1 cobra applicator at a time and connect a high pressure gun (water
only) to bottom chemical inlet.
B. Flush system thoroughly. Replace nozzles using a good grade alkaline dope on threads.
Replace foot valve in Hydrominder.
